  • Strong teams are built through a shared mission – and time spent together. Grateful for the chance to spend time with the @leaninorg team. ♥️
  • In my experience, success takes hard work, resilience, and knowing where to grab coffee. I sleep more than I used to (thank you @ariannahuff!!) I write everything down, and I drink a lot of caffeine. These habits help me stay grounded, on track, and make steady progress — even on the busiest days.
  • Congratulations to my dear friend @mellodyhobson and George Lucas on the opening of the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art – a truly special place. Mellody and George had a bold vision for a museum that celebrates the power of storytelling, and they brought it to life in such an exceptional way. I’m so grateful I had the chance to experience it – and so excited for the generations of visitors who will be inspired by the stories inside.
  • As the sun set last night, Jews around the world began observing Yom Kippur. The holiest day of the Jewish year, it’s a time to look inward, reflect on the past year, and commit to doing better in the one ahead. Yom Kippur is built on a powerful idea: that we are always capable of growth. No matter our shortcomings, we can make amends and begin again. This belief — in our capacity to show up more fully for one another — belongs to no single faith. It belongs to all of us. Wishing everyone who is observing an easy and meaningful fast. G’mar Chatimah Tovah.
  • Women aren’t losing their ambition. Too often, workplaces are giving them reasons to pull back. I spoke with Business Insider about why women are stepping away from corporate leadership and what companies must do to keep them. Women need equal access to mentorship, advancement, and meaningful support at work and at home. Most importantly, they need to know their companies genuinely want them to lead. I will always support women in making the choices that are right for their lives – whether that means pursuing a senior leadership role, starting a business, working part-time, going back to school, or staying home with their children. But those choices should be shaped by what women truly want, not by the barriers workplaces have failed to remove. We’ve made progress, but the work is far from finished. When companies create environments where women can thrive, everyone benefits. Thank you to @jaypugz and @businessinsider for highlighting this important topic.
  • We all have too much to do – and Simplify, the new book from @axios founders @mikeaxios, @axiosjim, and @roylschwartz makes a compelling case that the answer isn’t always to do more. Sometimes, the most effective thing is doing less of what doesn’t matter, so we can do more of what does. At a moment when AI is changing how we work this message is especially important. Technology can help us move faster, but real productivity requires clarity, focus, and the confidence to say no. Mike, Jim, and Roy have spent their careers making complicated ideas easier to understand, and this book brings that same clarity to how we work and live. Congratulations on a timely, thoughtful, and genuinely useful book!
  • Every year, Rosh Hashanah asks us the same question: who do you want to be in the year ahead? Tom and I will gather with our children, parents, and friends to hear the shofar, dip apples in honey, and sit with that question together. There’s something powerful about doing this in community — sharing the same prayers, the same foods, the same hope that Jewish families have carried forward for thousands of years. This year, my wish is that all of us — regardless of faith — find a moment to ask ourselves this question. And that the answers lead us toward more kindness and more compassion for one another. Wishing everyone who celebrates a sweet new year. Shanah Tovah.
  • @fidjissimo is joining the Nscale board!!!!
I have told the story of Facebook’s bet on mobile many times. Fidji is a big part of why that bet paid off. She built NewsFeed ads, led the video product, and then the whole Facebook app. She went on to run Instacart as CEO and Chair, took it public and made it profitable. Most recently, she ran ChatGPT and led all product and business functions at OpenAI. Fidji has spent her career at the other end of what Nscale builds — making the products that the data centers and software exist to serve. Building great products comes from being deliberate and staying close to the people you serve. No one does this better than Fidji.   I have had the privilege of working with many brilliant, dedicated people. Even in that talented group, Fidji stands out as a deep thinker, great executor, and truly wonderful human being.   Welcome, Fidji.
  • Grateful to take a few days away with @tom_bernthal to celebrate our 4-year anniversary. We hiked through breath-taking forests and even spotted a mama bear and her cubs. Tom – I love adventure days – and every day – with you. ❤️
  • The United Nations General Assembly has adopted a landmark resolution marking November 27 as the International Day for the Elimination of Child, Early and Forced Marriage, following a push led by Sierra Leone’s First Lady, Dr. Fatima Maada Bio. “Every instance of child marriage forecloses a world of possibilities for a young girl,” Former U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton told More to Her Story following the resolution’s adoption. Tap the link in our bio to read the full story.
  • Twelve million girls are married every year before they turn 18. @firstladyfatimabio , First Lady of Sierra Leone, calls this practice what it is: “legalized rape”. Finally, the global community has acknowledged this scourge and taken a big step towards ending it. The first International Day for the Elimination of Child, Early and Forced Marriage — will now be observed every year on November 27. This new day gives the world an annual moment to focus on solutions: strengthen laws, share what’s working, and above all, invest in girls’ health and education so every girl can stay in school and shape her own future. This day exists because of @firstladyfatimabio’s leadership. She has spoken with extraordinary courage about the devastating effects of child marriage — and she brought this resolution to the UN alongside leaders from Cabo Verde, Costa Rica, and Morocco and the General Assembly approved it today. Earlier this year, I was proud to work with Dr. Maada Bio and partner with @hillaryclinton and @columbiaigp on Accelerating Efforts to End Child Marriage, a report laying out concrete steps to end this practice. This is what happens when women lead. Congratulations to @firstladyfatimabio and to everyone working toward a world where every girl is free to choose her own path. I hope countries around the world see this commitment and take action to strengthen their laws, protect girls, and end child marriage once and for all.
  • Today I join so many others in honoring the life and mourning the loss of an icon — Gloria Steinem. I grew up admiring Gloria from afar, and later had the extraordinary honor of getting to know her. Her commitment to equality and justice for all knew no bounds and was matched only by her generosity to her friends. As I was writing Lean In, she offered to read my drafts. She did — and sent me edits line by line — with the most generous note possible: “This is your book and my notes are just suggestions.” That was Gloria. She spent her life making room for other women to find and use their voices, and somehow still had the ability to make you feel like yours was the one that mattered most. She didn’t just fight for a movement — she built people up, one relationship, one march, one magazine, and even one joke at a time. And she did that for nearly six decades — and right until the very end. The world is quieter today for the loss of her voice. But so many of us carry a piece of what she gave us — so many of us know that all of our work stands on her shoulders. Rest in power, Gloria.

Brian and Sheryl share compelling common ground in social impact, intellectual curiosity, and public visibility, and their complementary personalities could create a dynamic, growth-oriented partnership. However, their lifestyle rhythms are fundamentally misaligned—Brian's globally nomadic CEO schedule clashes with Sheryl's need for grounded routines, consistent presence, and spiritual observance. While both are open to evolution, the gap between present reality and future intentions is wide enough to make this a promising but challenging match, more likely to thrive if their professional paths converge in a shared hub.

Sheryl and Jay share a strong foundation in mindfulness, meaningful conversation, and purpose-driven living, with complementary strengths in leadership and introspection. However, their lifestyles create real tension: Jay's massive public platform and nomadic travel clash with Sheryl's need for privacy and stability, and their different spiritual traditions may complicate shared rituals. While both value depth and growth, their visions of partnership—one collaborative and public, one retreat-oriented and private—suggest a thoughtful but cautious match.

Randi and Sheryl share impressive achievements, public profiles, and values around empowerment, but their lifestyles diverge sharply—Randi lives fast and spontaneous while Sheryl seeks balance and reflection. Nikhil and Sheryl share strong intellectual and mission-driven compatibility, with overlapping interests in venture capital, social impact, and meaningful dialogue. However, geographic distance, age gap, and differing lifestyle rhythms present substantial barriers to sustained connection. While both navigate high-profile public lives with intentionality, the practical challenges of building intimacy across continents and life stages make a second date worth exploring but unlikely to develop into a long-term partnership.

While both principals share strong alignment on mission-driven impact, wellness practices, and meaningful dialogue, the geographic, cultural, and lifestyle constraints create significant friction. Deepinder's India-centric operations and Sheryl's East/West Coast hub life would demand constant travel compromise, and their differing approaches to religious observance and public-private boundaries add complexity. The match has potential for growth but requires substantial logistical and emotional investment from both sides.

Gary and Sheryl share substantial professional ground—both are high-profile leaders who build platforms around mission and culture. However, their leadership styles diverge significantly: Gary's bold, direct approach may clash with Sheryl's measured, policy-oriented advocacy, and their lifestyle rhythms (constant creation vs. intentional reflection) create tension. While both value self-awareness and impact, the risks around public scrutiny and bandwidth make this a challenging but potentially growth-oriented pairing.
