About: Randi Zuckerberg has long been a pioneer in both technology & media. As an early employee at Facebook & the creator of Facebook Live, she was on the front lines of shaping the social internet & how billions interact with content. Her lifelong passion for the arts paired with her tech career has been pivotal in her quest to help families navigate the complexities of an increasingly digital landscape. Now, her unique skillset is more valuable than ever as these worlds collide with the emergence of AI & blockchain. As both an early adopter & prominent voice for women in crypto-adoption, Randi knows firsthand that these disruptive technologies offer unparalleled opportunities for autonomy, ownership, & financial success to creators and consumers alike. In response to the crypto market’s growing gap in diversity, inclusion, & accessibility, Randi founded HUG in early 2022 with the mission of empowering artists to become successful creative entrepreneurs. HUG is an inclusive social platform that democratizes access to the arts by providing creators with tooling to showcase & sell both physical & digital work, while also connecting them with one another & one-of-a-kind opportunities for their art. As of 2024, Randi’s leadership has led HUG to become a global community of more than 35,000 artists from 170 countries & counting, with Randi having personally mentored over a thousand of them with their crypto-enabled businesses. HUG continues to support artists through its three core tenets of discovery, opportunity, & education, & has to date placed thousands of independent artists into their first exhibitions around the world. HUG has also distributed over $300,000 in grants & scholarships directly to independent creators, & continues to partner with entities such as L'Oréal, Mastercard, Forbes, Christie's, MoMA, the United Nations, & more in support of artists & creative technologists. Randi holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Harvard University. She serves as both an investor & advisor to several early & mid-stage companies and sits on the board of directors for The Motley Fool & Life360. Alongside her career as a tech innovator, she is an accomplished artist & producer who has performed on Broadway, winning three Tony awards. She hosts a weekly business talk radio show, Randi Zuckerberg Means Business, on SiriusXM. She is an avid runner, having completed several ultra-marathons with podium finishes. While she may be known as “Mom to Start-ups”, Randi spends her days learning, growing, & sharing her love for arts with her husband and children.

- ✨🦄 NEW PR AT THE BOSTON MARATHON!!! 🦄✨ 3:27:37 7:55/mile pace Four minute PR from my best previous time at Berlin 2024 Honestly, still speechless over this. I cannot believe that at age 44, one week after a 100k race, five months post-injury…that this happened. An entire marathon at a mile pace that starts with a 7! A Boston Qualifying time AT BOSTON! And to do this with my son here with me! OMFG!!! Have been working so so hard, and it doesn’t always come together on race day. But when it does…there’s no feeling quite like it. Time to go eat all the food and cry so many happy tears.
- Fastest Known Time on the Baja Sur 135km Trail! On March 6, I attempted the Fastest Known Time (FKT) for Mexico’s 135km Baja Sur Trail across the entire Baja Sur Peninsula. 82 miles from the Pacific Ocean → Sea of Cortez. 13,000 feet of elevation. One absolutely savage mountain section from miles 17–34 that climbed 6,000 feet in just 6 miles — including three straight miles at 30% grade in peak heat. 40 miles through night under the moon and stars. One 5-minute dirt nap after mile 60. And a sunrise at mile 70 that made the entire effort feel almost spiritual. My first “comeback” ultra distance after injury. Final result? 24 hours, 53 minutes, 10 seconds Which was the Fastest Known Time for ANYONE on that trail, male or female FKTs are different than races. There are no set aid stations. No course marshals or race directors. You build the entire attempt yourself — the logistics, the pacing plan, the fueling, the documentation — and then you go see if your body and mind can execute it. This one took an incredible team. Huge gratitude to my pacers — including my ride or die @dr.joelipsky, absolute rock star running partner Ben Thompson, and the incredible @joecorcione who agreed to run 60+ miles of the effort with me, including the insane mountain climb section, on just a few days of notice. These incredible friends rotated through the desert with me for nearly 25 straight hours, alongside a support vehicle leapfrogging us for lightning-fast resupplies. The mountain was the hardest trail I’ve ever climbed. But running under the stars, seeing the desert sunrise, laughing through the pain cave and finishing on the beach after running across an entire peninsula? That’s a feeling I’ll carry for a long time. Lots more to come including more incredible footage, but wanted to share as soon as we completed the attempt successfully. Thank you to Ben and the Joes 😂 Thank you to @linsanityz @mounttocoast (should be renamed coast to mount to coast?) Thank you to the amazing @drmeganroche who saved my quads and my fueling strategy. Thanks to @jhenwood72 for leaning into the crazy with me. And thank you to all my friends and family cheering me on from afar.
- Officially a @cocodona250 finisher. Still processing the experience and will have a more in depth post soon, but for now: 257 miles across Arizona 36,000+ feet of elevation 6 total hours of sleep across 5 days Torrential rain, insane heat, snow, lightning & hail Insane amounts of Coca Cola & cookies consumed 65 miles done on a busted shin/ankle Hysterical laugher and full body crying Met my own soul (several times) Literally the greatest friends on the planet An accomplishment nobody can ever take from me 📷: @howiesternphoto @ekzooks
- NYC Marathon weekend is almost here, and we’re getting you race-ready. 🗽 Join us Monday, October 5 at 5pm PT / 8pm ET for NYC Prep with Randi Zuckerberg, ahead of the rabbit NYC Clubhouse Hotel experience during race weekend. You may know Randi from tech and media, but her running résumé is just as impressive. She went from road marathons like New York City to some of the toughest ultra-endurance challenges in the country, including back-to-back finishes at the 250-mile Cocodona and an 82-mile FKT across Baja California. On the call, Randi will share: 🏃♀️ Actionable race-day strategy for 26.2 🧠 How she pushes through the tough mental and physical miles 🥯 Her favorite NYC spots to prep, fuel, and celebrate This is interactive, so bring your questions, whether they’re about this year’s race or any year’s race. - Miami 100 mile ultra. First place female and second fastest female time ever! Miami, you were beautiful, painful, chaotic, insane and amazing in all the best ways. The race was an adventure-style checkpoint race, where you didn’t learn the course until you were in it, and you got the directions for each checkpoint in real time. I ran over bridges, around islands, through neighborhoods, and navigated crowded touristy areas. All in hot and crazy humid Florida weather. When @joecorcione said he thought I was capable of running a ~20 hour 100 miler time (roughly a 12 minute mile, including stops) I didn’t quite believe him. My PR for the distance is 23:30 which I just ran in July. But 20 hours and 24 minutes later, I crossed the finish line as first place female and third place overall, averaging a 12:03 pace after running 100 miles non-stop, with very few breaks, except to change water logged sneakers a few times or use the restroom. But a race performance like this doesn’t happen without an absolute incredible crew firing on all cylinders. @murrclurr_ is beyond amazing as a crew chief. @joecorcione and Ben Thompson did an unreal job pacing, helping me navigate the course, and pushing me through peak heat. And my husband @btworetzky absolutely crushed it on my crew out there. This race was just as challenging to crew, as to run, and I was in absolute awe of my team the entire time. Special shoutout to @dr.joelipsky who wasn’t physically there with us, but absolutely was in spirit, and helped me crush one of the best training blocks I’ve ever had. And to @pinknoelephants who has become an essential part of the team and @quietgratefullife who surprised me out on the course. My legs are sore and my body is a bit wrecked, but my heart is so happy and I feel beyond proud and excited for what lies beyond.
- The past few days have seen some fun milestones!! 🍊 My 1,000th OrangeTheory class! I walked into OTF almost four years ago with no clue how that gym would change my life. Countless 6am classes, some of my closest friendships, big goals dreamt & done, and a whole lot of life lived under those orange lights. Naturally, we celebrated the only reasonable way: a 6am toga party. 🔥 My son’s new 5k PR! I got to run side by side in matching outfits with my son Simi, as he dug so deep and set a new PR on the exact same course where he last set a PR at this distance, two years ago. Super proud mom. Even prouder of the fact that Simi has poured so much heart into his Team for Kids charity fundraiser for his upcoming Disney race. 🏙️ Bronx 10 Mile: My first ever 10 mile race! The course was so fun - starting and ending at Yankee Stadium. And my first time racing for @jhenwood72’s @henwoodshounds team. Held a 7:24/mile pace and felt so good doing it. Even better was getting to run bonus warm-up and cool down miles to and from the race with Sydney. Three milestones that look totally different on paper. My first race for a new team. My kid’s PR. A hilariously large number of 6am workouts. But really, they’re all the same thing. Keep showing up for yourself and find people who make showing up wildly fun. Oh. And always, always wear a costume.
- Apparently tapering for a race doesn’t HAVE to be a disaster. (Who knew?) This week included: 70 miles, an actual full rest day (!!) and a truly unreasonable amount of fun: 👫 Doubles HYROX with my husband — we crushed our goals and had an absolute blast. Thank goodness for his ability to pull a sled and let me passenger princess that one… 🏃♀️ A long run to visit a friend, because apparently I now make house calls by foot 🏃♂️ Intervals with rock star friend + pacer Ben, who for some reason, continues to voluntarily participate in my nonsense 😂 An “apology tour” park loop — because deep conversations are always better while moving your body 🔥 Live Peloton class with Matt Wilpers + some of my favorite Pelo-friends 💪 Another live Tread with Mariana Fernandez, side-by-side with my bestie Sydney — who is about to CRUSH her 70.3 Half Ironman!!! 🛋️ AN ACTUAL REST DAY. Please respect my privacy during this unprecedented time. 🍎🍯 A beautiful Rosh Hashanah run with my husband + 11-year-old son, who is 500 miles into his goal of running 800 miles this year for charity. Proud mom. 🌧️ Urban Iron with my 15-year-old in the pouring rain: 8.6 miles, 3 gyms with strength workouts, a post-race cold plunge that didn’t even make us any wetter than we already were, and an obscene amount of energy beverages that we accidentally thought were recovery beverages. 🏁 Holding the finisher tape at the NYRR 5th Avenue Mile ❤️ This was such a cool life experience. And because I don’t want to falsely advertise emotional stability during taper week… A formal apology to my mahjong friends, who witnessed the portion of the taper where I VERY MUCH did not hold it together. Turns out ugly crying and mahjong are, in fact, compatible activities. 😂🀄️
- 93 miles this week in the most unhinged, fun, “Randi” way ever 🏃♀️ Monday: A new 50K PR in a time trial with @dr.joelipsky biking alongside me for all 31.1 miles 🌙 Thursday (Weds night?): An all-out 1-mile race through Times Square at 1AM with my son @orchardstreetrunners absolutely epic OSR1 🎥: Also Thursday: Live taping of a Peloton tread class with @mattwilpers 💪 Friday: A solo HYROX with @sydneysmith812 — and my husband cheering. And then getting to cheer for him! 🏅 Sunday: Carderock Trail Half Marathon in 1:45:43 — 4th place woman, 1st in my age group! Thanks @bishopseventsllc for the awesome event! Plus so many shared fun social miles and workouts in between with some of my favorite people. On paper, 93 miles sounds like a pretty solitary pursuit. But even though it was tough and my body feels a bit wrecked, none of my favorite miles this week felt solo. They looked like an incredible friend and coach pedaling beside me for hours. My son, who has become one of my favorite running partners, lining up with me at 1AM, laughing about how fun and crazy we are. A best friend willingly following me to DC to join my latest terrible idea. An amazing coach in @joecorcione encouraging me to push to new levels. And a husband who has apparently accepted that “what are we doing this weekend?” is now a dangerous question that includes destroying our bodies and eating a LOT of delicious carbs. I’m proud of the miles and grateful for a body that carried me through my biggest training week ever. But mostly, I’m grateful for the people, the adventures, and the memories. And now, for my hardest endurance event of all: sitting down. Thanks to @dhash for the incredible pics from OSR1
- Normal mother-son activities: dinner, movies, a board game Us: racing one mile at 1am through Times Square 🏃♀️🏃♂️ Do I have a mini me or what?! 😂 Some families make memories during normal waking hours. We are not those families. Thanks @orchardstreetrunners for the awesome vibes and great memories. Side note: Both Asher and I got PRs in the mile! Asher ran a 5:05 and I ran a 6:24!
- I’ve been thinking a LOT about pressure lately. The pressure to perform. To lead. To win. To keep going when things get hard. And, as someone who thinks running 100 miles is a reasonable recreational activity 😂, I’m endlessly fascinated by the question: What makes some people extraordinarily good under pressure? I’m SO excited to share that after twelve years of my business talk radio show on SiriusXM, our show is back better than ever for our thirteenth year with a whole new relaunch: 🎙️ UNDER PRESSURE with Randi Zuckerberg I’ll be sitting down with some of the mentally toughest people I know across business, sports & life—not just to hear what they accomplished, but also their failures, fears & moments they wanted to quit…but didn’t. What secret mental fortitude did they access to push beyond what most other people could not? Because I want us to steal their secrets. And I could not imagine a more extraordinary first guest than Ali Feller. 💙 @aliontherun1 - Ali is one of the toughest, most resilient, badass women I have had the pleasure of getting to know - and through it all, has the most infectious smile, energy, and spirit. Join us for a conversation where we dive into it all. 🎧 Under Pressure with Randi Zuckerberg SiriusXM Business Radio • Channel 132 LIVE Wednesdays • 12–1pm ET ON DEMAND on the SiriusXM app after Pressure is inevitable. Let’s get better at it. 💙 Special thanks to my amazing team: Dana, Brian & Rory!
- I found a new puzzle and I’m having so much fun being a beginner at it! Rather than get increasingly good at surviving ridiculously long distances, @dr.joelipsky and I schemed that maybe this should be the summer of seeing how fast I could learn to run the 50k distance. It’s a deceiving distance - on the surface, it’s “only five miles longer than the marathon” - but in reality, those five extra miles feel like a whole entire marathon in themselves. Earlier in the summer, I ran a time trial 50k on a bike path, with Joe supporting me on the bike, and finished in 4:44 (a 9:07/mile pace). I loved it — but finished knowing there was a lot more there. So we started playing around with new workouts, different types of long runs, and how to get the most out of tired legs. Today I went back to the exact same bike path, exact same starting time, Joe supporting me, and ran another 50K. 4:31:46 8:43/mile pace More than 12 minutes faster. I’m 44 years old. When I got back into running at age 41, my one mile PR was 9:30. It absolutely blows my mind that today I ran 31.1 miles at a pace almost a full minute a mile faster than that. I love that I have run almost every distance imaginable (and some distances that seem unimaginable!) and there are STILL so many completely new things to learn. One of my favorite things about endurance sports is that you never reach a point where someone hands you a certificate saying, “Congratulations, you’re done. You have now discovered your full potential.” You just get to keep being entrepreneurial, keep finding new puzzles to solve, and keep pushing the limits.
- I’m well aware that running 100+ mile races as a 44 year old mom of three is….well…unusual. I know most people have no desire to do it. I know there are WAY easier ways to see beautiful places. I know that eating quesadillas out of a folding chair at 2am while someone patches up 15 blisters on your feet is not everyone’s idea of a good time. But one of my favorite things about getting older is that I no longer need the things I love to make sense to anybody else. I love short races, too! You’ll find me at tons of them! But I don’t run ultramarathons simply because I haven’t learned to “just be ok with fewer miles.” I run them because I genuinely love what happens when the distance get long: the adventures, the places, the empowering confidence, the problem-solving, the ridiculousness of it all - and most importantly, the new tiny corners of myself that I discover along the way. If your thing is 18 holes, go live your best life! If your thing is knitting, knit the WHOLE DAMN BLANKET! And if your thing is running absurdly long distances while eating gas station snacks…well, I’ll probably see you out there! Just please don’t expect me to make the thing that I love smaller, just because you could never see yourself enjoying it. We’re old enough to know what brings us joy. We don’t have to shrink it into something other people understand.

Brené BrownUniversity of Houston + University of Texas at Austin | Researcher. Storyteller. Courage-builder.55Randi and Brené share a deep respect for courage, authenticity, and human connection, and both are drawn to meaningful dialogue. However, their lifestyles—Randi’s high-octane, public, and unpredictable schedule versus Brené’s reflective, grounded, and private rhythm—create significant friction. While Randi shows genuine interest in emotional depth and is willing to adapt, Brené’s caution around the spotlight and need for consistency may make it difficult to sustain a connection. The pairing has potential for growth, but the structural and emotional gaps are too wide to ignore.

Randi thrives on constant motion, extreme physical challenges, and spontaneous late-night adventures, while Marie values deliberate pacing, mindfulness, and unhurried emotional connection. Both are multifaceted and authentic in their own ways, but Randi's high-octane, irregular schedule leaves little room for the kind of present, still connection Marie needs. Without significant compromise from both sides, this pairing risks frustration rather than complementarity.

Randi needs consistent presence for her family and early-morning training, while Brian's CEO role demands constant travel and global mobility. However, the geographic distance between Mumbai and New York, combined with Randi's extreme athletic schedule (100-mile ultras, 1am races, cross-country FKT chases) and Anupam's demanding CEO responsibilities, creates significant lifestyle misalignment. While both are intellectually curious and media-savvy, the practical demands of syncing their daily rhythms and locations make a strong match unlikely without major concessions from both sides.

Tim FerrissAuthor of 5 #1 NYT/WSJ bestsellers, early-stage investor, Tim Ferriss Show podcast (1B+ downloads), founder of the Saisei Foundation42Randi Zuckerberg and Tim Ferriss are both exceptional high-achievers who push boundaries, but their lifestyles diverge sharply: Randi thrives on intense, early-morning-to-late-night physical and family demands rooted in NYC, while Tim prioritizes deep focus, recovery, and location-independent reflection. The energy mismatch is significant, and Randi's bandwidth is already stretched across three kids, a startup, and ultra-distance racing. While Tim is intrigued by her discipline and Randi is intellectually drawn to his depth, neither shows clear willingness to fundamentally alter their core rhythms, making long-term compatibility challenging.

Melanie PerkinsCo-founder & CEO at Canva42Randi and Melanie share admirable qualities—both are mission-driven leaders who empower others and navigate high-profile lives with global reach. Randi's boundless, almost chaotic energy is both inspiring to Melanie and a source of concern, while Melanie's thoughtful, reflective nature appeals to Randi but raises questions about whether it can sustain the pace Randi demands. The time-zone gap between NYC and Australia, combined with Randi's late-night training runs and Melanie's CEO responsibilities, creates practical barriers that neither profile suggests they're equipped to bridge. Their lifestyles are fundamentally misaligned: Randi thrives on spontaneity and constant motion, while Melanie finds grounding in routine and intentional pauses. While their mutual respect and shared values around empowerment are strong, the logistical and rhythmic mismatches are significant enough to make a second date feel more like a high-effort experiment than a natural fit.
